Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

Nurses

The Park Terrace Medical Practice nurses are Mrs Helen Scott (RGN, RM) and Ms Chris Francke (RGN RM). They are responsible for well woman and contraceptive advice, asthma clinics, blood pressure clinics, diabetic and heart disease clinics, travel vaccine clinics and the treatment of minor injuries and minor illness. They can also offer advice on weight management, diet and many other health related issues including smoking cessation. They are available by appointment and are also usually available for advice over the phone throughout the day.

The St Ninian's Health Centre Treatment Room nurse (telephone 479555) is Mrs Pat Harker (RGN) She offers a part time treatment room service at St Ninians Health Centre by appointment and also at Orchard House ( telephone 468251)

Our Health Care Assistants have been fully trained to undertake procedures such as taking bloods, measuring blood pressures and checking urine samples. They are available by appointment.
